Man beaten to death: A man was allegedly beaten to death by his kin after an altercation over irrigation water. Mr Zile Singh, a resident of Buan village in Bhuna block of this district, and son of Kanshi Ram, the deceased, has lodged an FIR with the police that his uncles Ram Kumar, Balbir, Dharambir, and Ram Kumar's sons Balbir and Inder and his wife Krishana took his father to their residence and beat him up mercilessly. He was rushed to Bhuna hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The police has registered a case under Sections 302, 342, 148 and 149 of the IPC and booked six persons in this regard. KARNAL

Youth kills elder brother: Quite a stir was caused when Surinder Singh allegedly murdered his elder brother Joginder Singh in his house at Vikas Nagar colony here on Tuesday. Eye check-up camp: The Rotary Club of Yamunanagar donated a doppler machine and ECG apparatus to the Civil Hospital here on Monday on the concluding day of three-day free eye check-up and treatment camp. During the camp, 172 cataract surgeries were performed. A team of doctors led by Prof
