Case filed against Bibi

A case was filed against Bibi Jagir Kaur, President, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, and three office-bearers of the management committee of Gurdwara Guru Sahib Padshahi Chhemi (sixth guru), popularly known as Gurdwara Bohali Sahib, situated at Nadala tehsil, Kapurthala, in the Sikh Gurdwara Judicial Commission by a member of the local committee.

Man held with 2.25 kg charas
Pathankot November 22
The Pathankot police has arrested Roshan Lal and recovered 2.25 kg charas from him. In a press note issued here yesterday, the police said Roshan Lal was arrested near Chaki bridge on a tip off. He had absconded since the arrest of his two accomplices.

Purse snatched
Kharar, November 22
A purse containing Rs 45,000 was snatched from a woman by a youth here today. According to information available, Mrs Krishna Sharma had withdrawn the amount from the Union Bank located on the Landran road.

Reprieve for medicos as exam centre changed

Coming to the rescue of students of Sri Guru Ram Das College of Medical Sciences and Research, the Vice-Chancellor, Baba Farid University of Medical Sciences, Faridkot, today changed the examination centre of the students from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee run college to Government Medical College.
