Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Bahraich (east Uttar Pradesh) has recorded of 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in region was 38.0°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were above normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 17.5°C recorded at Udaipur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 6: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
