Service tax evasion worth Rs 1.19 cr detected

Shawl traders approach DC over VAT
Ludhiana, October 4
Shawl manufacturers and traders, who have been observing a bandh to protest against the "sudden" imposition of the Value-Added Tax (VAT), held a rally outside the DC office and later submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
