EC lodges FIR on Gujarat riots CDs
Patna, February 13
Stepping up its drive against model code violations in the run-up to second phase of the Bihar Assembly poll, the Election Commission (EC) today lodged an FIR against unknown persons in connection with screening of CDs containing footage of Gujarat riots in two districts even as the ruling RJD said it had nothing to do with such CDs.

While the tigers are becoming extinct in Sariska and Ranthmbore, Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has taken the lead to conserve wildlife in his home district Etawah by setting up the first Lion Safari there.

Quickly after the February 1 royal coup in Nepal, officials of Royal Nepal Army have been posted in the editorial offices of print and visual media, both foreign and domestic, and are monitoring every news report so that nothing against the King or his hand-picked Council of Ministers is reported, according to a report put up today before Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran.
