The police has found another stock of explosives from the Doraha-Sidhwan canal near Sangowal village, the spot where a large quantity of the material was found yesterday.

One held in migrant’s murder case

The Jagraon district police has claimed to have solved the murder case of a migrant labourer whose body was found near a tubewell on the periphery of Majri village. The main suspect arrested by the Dehlon police has been sent to judicial custody.

The Ramgarhia Ladies Club had organised a special function in connection with Karva Chauth titled Deepak Jalta Rahe here. Members had decided to celebrate the function with group dance, a talent show, skits etc. Women danced on the occasion.

The Ludhiana Sahodaya Quiz Competition was held at Gobindgarh Public School, Mandi Gobindgarh, yesterday. Twentyfive teams participated in the competition. It was divided into two segments comprising 12 and 13 teams.

At present a director and organiser of theatrical events at Himachal Cultural Research Centre and Rangmandal Natya Akademi at Mandi, Seema Sharma is working on the lesser known folk form of Banthda.

Khalsa college win by 209 runs
Beat SBBS college in basketball
Ludhiana, October 17
Players of the local Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, won the cricket match against Guru Nanak Girls College, Muktsar. According to Ms Varinder Kaur Thind, Principal of the college, the cricketers from the local college beat Muktsar college by a big margin of 209 runs in a 30-over a side match.
