Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, fell appreciably in east Rajasthan, fell in west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.2°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in Uttaranchal and changed little in east Uttar Pradesh. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 09.8°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 27: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 27: Partly cloudy sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 34°C and 18°C, respectively.
