Rainfall:
Rains/thundershowers have reportedly occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Varanasi city has recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: past 24-hour change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.3°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24-hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were normal in the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.6°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of October 28: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 28: Partly cloudy sky. Mist in the morning. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 31°C and 17°C, respectively.
