2 holed-up militants shot dead

Srinagar, October 18
The security forces shot dead the two Lashkar-e-Toiba militants holed up in a shopping complex here this morning thus ending a 24-hour encounter which began with the attack on the residence of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Friday morning. The first militant was killed at 8 a.m. when he tried to escape from the complex.

Punjabi Singer Sukhwinder Panchhi, arrested for involvement in human trafficking here on Friday, today revealed that he secured visa for 15 Punjabi youths as a part of his cultural troupes to visit the USA in 1997, youths later disappeared as arranged earlier.
