Sehwag hits unbeaten 128

Chandigarh, October 18
Virender Sehwag slammed an unbeaten 128 to lead a strong Indian reply on the third day of the second and the final Test against New Zealand at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium at Mohali, near here, today. It was his fourth Test century as India finished at 203 for 1 wicket at close with stand-in skipper Rahul Dravid batting on 9.

New Zealand declared their innings closed at a mammoth 630 for 6 in the morning with middle-order batsman Craig McMillan scoring an unbeaten 100. For India leg-spinner Anil Kumble was the most successful bowler claiming three wickets, while off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took two wickets. — TNS
