Temperatures: past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell in West Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in East Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.2°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 20: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 20: Mainly clear sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 34°C and 18°C, respectively.
