Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed little.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana and west Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.8°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 20: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 20: Mainly clear sky. Fog/mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 10°C.
