4 survive collision with train
Ludhiana, July 25
A Maruti car collided with a speeding Satluj Express at an unmanned railway crossing on the Ludhiana-Thrike road near Rajguru Nagar late yesterday, injuring four persons of a family, who were travelling in the car.

Smuggled liquor flows in city
Ludhiana, July 25
Despite consistent efforts by the Excise and Taxation Department to check the smuggling, the cheap liquor continues to flow freely in Ludhiana leading to huge losses both to the wine contractors as well as the state exchequer.
