New Delhi, January 1
Cold wave conditions have abated from Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Haryana and Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 3°C recorded at Bhiwani (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 3: Weather will be dry over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 3: Hazy sky. Chilly winds to continue. Fog in the morning. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 20°C and 6°C, respectively.
