10 held for tearing up
‘Gadar’ posters New Delhi, June 24 Over 50 activists of the Sena equipped with ladders arrived at the cinema hall in Connaught Place around 12 noon and began tearing the posters of the Sunny Deol-Amisha Patel starrer, protesting against some “objectionable scenes” in the film, eye witnesses said. The protest lasted barely a few minutes. Joint Commissioner of Police, Suresh Roy said the police who had a tip-off about the protest swung into action and nabbed 10 Sena activists. The protesters could damage only a banner of the film, Mr Roy said adding that no one was injured in the attack and the police did not use any force whatsoever.
