Aam Aadmi Party convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur addresses the dharna of PSPCL staff in Ludhiana on Wednesday. The engineers, officials and employees of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) have intensified the ongoing agitation against the proposal to transfer 32-acre prime land of the power utility to the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) for commercial exploration. Under the banner of Coordination Committee of Employees and Engineers, the employees staged a massive dharna at the office of chief engineer, central zone, on Ferozepur Road here today.

‘Cultivate varieties that can resist yellow rust’
Ludhiana: Experts from the Punjab Agricultural University have said yellow rust has become a big problem for wheat cultivation in Punjab. The disease can cause yield losses up to 70 per cent depending upon resistance of cultivar and severity of disease.
