Body found in Sirhind Canal: A body was found floating in Teona Head of the Sirhind Canal on Tuesday. The volunteers of Sahara Jan Sewa took out the body from the canal. Kidnapped girl rescued: The Sarabha Nagar police have booked two persons for kidnapping a minor girl from outside a mall at Ferozepur Road on Monday evening. The girl was rescued from Moga on Tuesday. Two youths, identified as Barinder Singh and Amrik Singh, kidnapped the

Vehicle overturns, 1 dead: Rajinder Singh (40) of Barnala died when a tractor trailer overturned in Khairabad village near here on Monday. The police said Gurmail Singh of Chalur village lost control of the vehicle in the mud. Rajinder Singh and Jaspal Singh were sitting on top of the wheat husk loaded in the trailer. 4 killed in accident: Four youths of Bhaini Winning village died in a road accident near the Harike headworks, 35 km from Tarn Taran, on Tuesday. The deceased are Gurjant Singh (30), Jasbir Singh (35), Parkash Singh (30) and Kulbir Singh (34). The car they were travelling collided head on with a truck and fell in a 10-foot-deep gorge along the road. The truck too fell in the gorge on the car. The truck driver, who fled from the spot, has been booked.
