Thieves struck at a house in Rishi Nagar B Block and decamped with gold, cash and an LED. Narrating the incident, Amarjit Singh, a hosiery businessman, said the incident took place last night between 7 pm and 9.30 pm.

High Court stays release of movie
Ludhiana, June 13
With the stay order on the release of Punjabi movie ‘O my Pyo Ji’ that was set to be released on June 13, the hopes of the actors and fans awaiting the movie lie dashed. The release was stalled by a stay order from Ludhiana court on May 30 and it was later maintained by Punjab and Haryana High Court until the next hearing in July. The screening of the movie was stalled after Raj Yuvraj Singh Bains moved to court that Niharika Sahni, granddaughter of actor Balraj Sahni had denied him the rights as a co-producer.
