Fire breaks out at Sales Tax Bar Room
Ludhiana, May 30
Around 100 chairs, sofa-sets, tables and vital documents were burnt to ashes in a fire that broke out at the Sales Tax Bar Room of the Mini-Secretariat here last night. The incident took place around 11:30 pm and three fire brigades were pressed into service.
Mohit Aggarwal, an advocate, said important documents, including VAT returns and papers pertaining to excise tax were kept in the lockers by the advocates, were reduced to ashes.
