Thieves are on the prowl in posh sectors of Panchkula forcing the residents to spend sleepless nights. These thieves have forced the Panchkula Police to review the security arrangements and deployment of the entire field force. So far, the thieves have targeted eight high profile families in just 18 days.

Police team arrives to arrest PO, thrashed

A police party from Mohali was allegedly assaulted when it went to arrest a proclaimed offender (PO) from a wedding venue at a hotel in Sector 35. The PO, Prithipal Singh, wanted in a cheque bounce case, came outside JW Marriott Hotel when he got to know about the presence of policemen.

Sharma has been working as a health worker in an urban resettlement colony in the Urban Health and Training Centre
(UHTC) under the Department of Community Medicine, School of Public Health,

Dept fails to provide books to students

Despite 40 days since the beginning of the new academic session, the Education Department has failed to provide books of various subjects to government schoolchildren. Students of Class VIII of government model schools have still not received their English and social science books, while students across all classes are yet to receive Punjabi books.
