The State Information Commission has issued a show-cause notice to Balwinder Singh, Public Information Officer, Municipal Corporation, under Section 20 (1) of the RTI Act, 2005, as to why a penalty of Rs 250 per day (subject to a maximum of Rs 25,000) should be not imposed on him till the information is furnished.
