Despite HC orders, NCERT fails to rectify errors

The NCERT has failed to correct 25 mistakes and ambiguous questions in biology textbooks and exemplars of classes XI and XII despite the Punjab and Haryana High Court orders in this regard. NCERT books are prescribed for government schools across the country.

UT challenges Punjab proposal

Taking a tough stand on the proposal of the Punjab Government to reduce the radius of the eco-sensitive zone (ESZ) around the Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary, the UT Administration has written to the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) stating that before approving the proposal, the ministry must take its consent.
