Medico booked for negligence: The Fazilka police have booked a medical practitioner for negligence following the death of a woman at Burz Hanumangarh village in the district. Complainant Mukhpal Singh alleged his wife Sukhdeep Kaur (35), who was suffering from typhoid, was administered an injection by Sohan Lal following which she died. The accused has absconded.Patiala

for poll boycott: The Krantikari Pendu Mazdoor Union, Punjab, has given call to labourers to boycott the Lok Sabha elections as "the electoral system has failed them".
