Sewage enters govt school premises

A lot of inconvenience was faced by students and staff of Government Elementary School in Kumbra village here as water from an overflowing sewer entered the premises of the school.

As per a research conducted by the PGIMER, 25 per cent of 127 patients with cardiogeinic shock (heart attack) were aged below 50 years. While the research emphasised on procedures to reduce mortality among those suffering cardiogenic shock, researchers also discovered that risk factors such as diabetes, stress, smoking and drug intake were prominent yet controllable causes of the problem in the young patients.

Panjab University (PU) has invited applications for the BA/BCom LLB (Honours) five years integrated courses at the University Institute of Legal Studies
(UILS) and it’s regional centres at Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana. PU spokesman said the prospectus and application form for the entrance test is available on the website
http://uglaw.puchd.ac.in/. Interested students can apply till April 25. The entrance test will be conducted on May 18.

Chandigarh:
Students of Banyan Tree School participated in the Cybolympiad organised by the Edusoft IT Solutions. The contest had two levels. The top six students qualified for the second round.
