Joshi gets Kanpur, Rajnath Lucknow, Jaitley Amritsar & Kirron Chandigarh

The BJP tonight decided to field its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, ending days of speculation over his seat. The party expects to polarise votes in the electorally crucial state (80 MPs) as well as in Bihar.

Thrice winner Sidhu promises to back Jaitley
Amritsar, March 15
Three-time sitting BJP MP from Amritsar Navjot Singh Sidhu said he would not contest the Lok Sabha elections from any other seat. The saffron party allotted ticket from Amritsar to senior party leader Arun Jaitley today. Sidhu promised full support to Jaitley in the elections.
