Sukhbir lays stone for Rs 135 cr effluent treatment plant
Ludhiana, March 4
Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today laid the foundation stone for an effluent treatment plant on the Tajpur Road here today. Sukhbir said the government would spend Rs 135 crore on this project.

Public at receiving end of ministerial staff’s strike

General public has been at the receiving end of the ongoing strike of the ministerial staff. People visiting the Civil Surgeon’s Office to get birth, death and other certificates are greeted by empty chairs. Work at the office has come to a halt since the staff went on strike, which will continue till March 6. |

DC removes red beacon from his vehicle
Ludhana, March 4
Deputy Commissioner Rajat Aggarwal today got the red beacon removed from his official vehicle. He said: "I got it removed on the directions of the Government of Punjab that were published in the newspapers. Hopefully, we will soon get an official notification in this regard."

PAU prof loses job
