Highest rainfall in March in last six yrs

NHAI told to shorten pit near residential plot

The Permanent Lok Adalat (Public Utility Services), Mohali, headed by Jagroop Singh Mahal, has directed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to reduce the area of a pit in front of a plot of a complainant and to construct/extend the RCC storm channel and get the pit cleaned regularly.

Lok adalat settles 8,582 cases

2-yr-old killed in accident at Panchkula

A two-year-old child died while five others got critically injured when the Indigo car in which they were travelling in hit a divider near Maheshpur here late this evening. The family was going to Shimla and belonged to Uttar Pradesh.

Inter-state gang of thieves busted; five arrested

In a major breakthrough, the Crime Branch of the UT police arrested five-members of an inter-state gang, including two women, and recovered construction shuttering plates that were stolen on the intervening night of February 27 and 28 from different sectors.

City rallyists bag top honours

Local rallyists bagged top honours during the 12th Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm, which concluded in Jaipur today. The six-day marathon motorsport event was flagged off from Delhi on February 24. It ended after covering about 2,200 kilometres over the Thar Desert.

19 veteran athletes clinch medals
