Two killed in mishap: Two youths were killed in a road mishap at Sriganganagar in Rajasthan on Friday. The victims, identified as Prithvi Raj Meghwal and Pat Ram, were riding a motorcycle. In another incident, at least 13 persons, including three women, were injured when a bus collided head-on with another bus in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district.

UK varsity, SGGSWU to sign MoU: A delegation from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge (England) visited Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University (SGGSWU), Fatehgarh Sahib, on Friday. Vice Chancellor Dr Gurmohan Singh Walia said SGGSWU would sign an MoU with the British university.

PTU appoints registrar: The Punjab Technical University (PTU) on Friday appointed Dr Rajneesh Kant Sachdeva its officiating Registrar. The post fell vacant after Dr HS Bains today joined as Director of the Panjab University Regional Centre in Hoshiarpur.

Aggarwal announced AAP candidate for LS poll: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has declared Balbir Aggarwal as its candidate for the Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituency. The district executive of AAP stated this in a press statement. Aggarwal is the district secretary of AAP, Ludhiana.

PSEB exam details now online: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has uploaded the list of candidates appearing for the final examination this session on its website (www.pseb.ac.in). PSEB secretary GS Batth said the list had been made available on the school login. He further said that the admit cards of regular candidates could be downloaded from February 5 onwards.

3 Punjab & Haryana HC judges sworn in: Three new judges were today sworn in to the Punjab and Haryana High Court, raising its strength to 51. Those sworn in were Justices Rajiv Narain Raina, Tejinder Singh Dhindsa and Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia. They were administered the oath by the Chief Justice of the HC Sanjay Kishan Kaul.

Blood donation camp on R-Day: :The Canara Bank Officers’ Association, Chandigarh Region, would organise the 31st blood donation camp at its circle office on the Republic Day. The camp would be held in association with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh, said Atul Kapoor, vice-president of the association.
