The Department of Health and Family Welfare declares the top-10 performing doctors in the state every fortnight. Surgery, OPD and gynaecology are the streams from which the doctors are chosen.

Woman found murdered
Ludhiana, January 24
The police found the body of a 22-year-old woman in the Focal Point area here today. According to police officials, the woman had been stabbed to death. She was wearing a jeans-top and sports shoes. In the preliminary investigation, it was established that the woman was murdered with a sharp weapon. The police officials said there were deep injuries on her face, throat and stomach.
