Giving someone a "gift of life" is perhaps the noblest act. A city-based non-government
organisation, Rotary Club Greater (Ludhiana), in collaboration with the Christian Medical College and Hospital, has given new lease of life to children suffering from congenital heart diseases by getting them operated free of cost.

Lakkar Bridge to open in Feb

15,000 appear for TET in district
Ludhiana, December 28
About 15,000 candidates from Ludhiana district appeared for the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), which was conducted today. Over 40 centres were made in the district. District Education Officer (Secondary), Paramjit Kaur Chahal said the examination was conducted smoothly. "I have visited many centres today and the exam was conducting peacefully," she added. Video recording was done by the department for transparency.
