Army gives sewing machines to Doda
women: The Rashtriya Rifles provided training to more than 30 women of remote
Champal, Bhallessa, in Doda district in tailoring for a month to make them skilled and enable them to earn their livelihood.
On completion of the training the Commanding Officer distributed 24 sewing machines to women in a programme organised at the Chilli area on December 3.

First woman to join KCCI:Kashmir’s aromatherapy and beauty oil queen Gazalla Amin, who owns 'Fasiam Agro Farms', has created history by becoming the first woman executive member of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI), the election to which was held on November 30. She is among the six candidates elected to the executive committee, the results of which were declared on Saturday. Gazalla is known in the region for introducing the innovative technique of extracting aromatic oils from lavender, geranium, rosemary and artemisia plants.Lineman electrocuted:A lineman of the Power Development Department was electrocuted to death while repairing a high tension supply wire near north Kashmir’s Handwara town on Sunday. Mohammad Amin Khan (55), a resident of Moonshnar village, was shifted to Kralgund Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, a police spokesman said. Paediatrics meeting
held:The general body meeting of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics’ Kashmir unit was held at GB Pant Children Hospital here on Saturday after a gap of 17 years.
