Now, e-trip system to be implemented from Aug 31
Ludhiana, August 1
Amid stiff opposition from the industry over the e-trip system, the state government today extended the date of the implementation of the system to August 31.
Earlier, the industry was asked to file e-trip from July 16.

Dengue larvae found in Issa Nagri
Ludhiana, August 1
Although no suspected or confirmed cases of dengue were reported today from any hospital, but larvae of dengue were found at many places.
District epidemiologist Dr Anil Verma said, "The dengue larvae were
found in coolers and containers in the Issa Nagari area adjoining CMC
Hospital, Dhandari and Basti Jodhewal.
Indiscipline in party will not be tolerated: PPCC vice-president

Trekking expedition flagged off

Under debt, 2 persons commit suicide in city
Ludhiana, August 1
Two debt ridden residents committed suicide in separate incidents today.
The deceased are identified as Rajinder Singh (39) and Bhupinder Singh (65).
In the first incident, the 39-year-old businessman, Rajinder Singh, committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling hook of a godown at his factory unit in Sakhewal
Road.
Two booked for fraud

The city police nabbed a factory employee and his accomplice for concocting a robbery story. they had planned to take Rs 1.4 lakh from his employers.
