The Panchkula Administration has asked Chandi Kotla residents to move out of the “flood and landslide” prone area as soon as possible. Not only this, even the Army has been asked to be prepared for any untoward incident.

The city will witness shortage of 9 MGD (million liters per day) of canal water from the coming year. The city will give 6 MGD of water to Panchkula and 3 MGD to the Chandimandir area.

A resident of Uttar Pradesh working at a hotel in Burail as a cook died after falling from the fourth floor, while making arrangements for a party at Burail on June 27. The police has booked the owner of the hotel in a case of causing death due to negligence.
