Man tears policeman’s uniform, arrested
Ludhiana, May 15
The Daba police has booked a man for tearing the uniform of a police personnel and obstructing him from discharging his duty. The incident snowballed into a controversy when accused’s wife levelled counter allegation against the police personnel of falsely implicating her husband. ASI Janak Raj stated that Madhu Sekhri and her husband Naresh were called at the police station for resolving a dispute with their
neighbours.
MC demolishes shutter, shopkeepers protest

PAU. She said that since the time of her marriage, her in-laws were harassing her for dowry. She said that 10 days ago her husband and in-laws tired to set her afire. She somehow managed to save herself and kept nursing the burn wounds. On May 9, Neelam's condition worsened and she was rushed to the hospital. Following her statement, the police booked husband Ravinderpal and his parents under Section 307 of the IPC for attempt to murder case.
