Six booked for abducting, raping minor girl

Nawanshahr, May 12 
The Behram police has booked six youths for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl of Sarhal Qazian village last month. The accused has been identified as Baljinder Singh, alias Binda, Amrit Pal, alias Billu, Sukhwinder Kumar, Bahadur Chand of Chak Bilga village, Baljit Singh, alias Bittu, of Dhandua village and Dilbagh Singh, alias Bagha, of Nurpur village . The police has arrested Amrit Pal and Sukhwinder Kumar. The other accused are still at large.

A case has been registered on the complaint of Mangal Ram, victim's father. In his complaint, he had stated that his daughter, a student of Class IX, was kidnapped by Baljinder Singh and Baljit Singh from the bus stop and they took her forcibly to a water pump room in a village and raped her. The accused, he said, had threatened to kill the victim and her brother. The accuse d forcibly took her to Naina Devi where three youths molested her throughout the night.

Man arrested for raping daughter

Hoshiarpur, May 12
The Tanda police has arrested Jivi Lal of Bagru in Nepal for allegedly raping his daughter. The accused, who is presently residing near Laki Cinema, Tanda, has been booked under Sections 376, 342 and 506 of the IPC and Section 9N of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. 

Sources said the girl's mother alleged that her husband, who works in a sweets shop, had been molesting her daughter for the past one year. About three months ago, Jivi Lal raped the girl, she alleged. Further investigations are on in the case, the police said.
