Jyoti’s call gave police the lead

A phone call did Doon MLA Ram Kumar Chaudhary in. The MLA was produced in a local court, which extended his remand by four days.
The police stated that the truck that crushed Jyoti's head was in

Zirakpur man robbed of car, valuables at gunpoint
Panchkula, January 14
A Zirakpur resident was robbed of his i20 car, a gold chain and an iPhone at gunpoint at Sector 9 in Panchkula on Sunday night.
The victim, Karan Singh, a resident of Dhakoli in Zirakpur, had parked his car near the Sector 9 market when four miscreants forcibly entered his car.

Unlike previous years, this time the councillors will have their say in finalising the budget of the Municipal Corporation of the next fiscal.
City Mayor Subhash Chawla has issued a letter to the all councillors and Union Railways Minister and Local MP Pawan Kumar Bansal (who is ex-officio member of the MC) to send their suggestions before finalising the budget for the next fiscal.
Police dept adds 35 bikes to its fleet

In order to intensify patrolling in the town, 35 well-equipped motorcycles were provided to the police personnel.
SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said earlier patrolling was carried out by 18 motorcycles, but now the figure had gone up to 53.
