Aggarwal named leader of opposition in MC House

After a gap of more than two months, the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has finally got the leader of the opposition.
Hem Raj Aggarwal has been named as the leader of the opposition, while Rakesh Prashar has been named as the senior deputy leader of the opposition and Sushma Mehta as the deputy leader of the opposition. The decision was taken by the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee in Chandigarh today.

Loudspeakers irk residents

The nuisance, created by the loudspeakers, blowing from religious places and that too at a high pitch, has been causing inconvenience to Sahnewal residents and forcing them to lodge complaints with the Nagar Panchayat, which has failed to provide any permanent solution to this ever increasing problem so far.

A fatal mishap can take place at the narrow lanes in the area. Highlighting the problems Sandeep Miglani said, "It is one of the oldest bazaars in the city so the roads here are narrow and it becomes difficult to commute on these," he said.
