2 killed, 1 hurt in road mishap

Two persons were killed and one sustained injures in a road accident when two two-wheelers collided head-on near Sangha village, 6 km from here this evening.

Country-made pistol recovered

A police party headed by ASI Surinder Singh arrested Satnam Singh, alias Gurbhej Singh, a resident of Manochahal Kalan village. One country-made pistol was recovered from his possession.

3 killed in road mishap
Nawanshahr, November 25
Three boys identified as Angrez Singh (17), Mehakdeep Singh (16) and Sukhjit Singh (5) were killed in a road accident when their motorcycle was reportedly hit by an unknown vehicle near Balachaur on the Nawanshahr-Chandigarh highway today.

2 killed, 1 hurt in road mishap

Tarn Taran, November 25
Two persons were killed and one sustained injures in a road accident when two two-wheelers collided head-on near Sangha village, 6 km from here this evening.

The dead have been identified as Dr Gurmit Kumar (42), a resident of Goindwal Sahib, and Gurpreet Singh (25), a resident of Vain Poin village.

Gurpreet’s cousin Ravinder Singh received serious injuries and was shifted from the local civil hospital to Amritsar hospital.

Gurmit died instantly and Gurpreet died on way to the local civil hospital.

 Country-made pistol recovered

Tarn Taran, November 25
A police party headed by ASI Surinder Singh arrested Satnam Singh, alias Gurbhej Singh, a resident of Manochahal Kalan village. One country-made pistol was recovered from his possession.

“A case under Section 25, 54, 59 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused,” said the police.

Nawanshahr, November 25
Three boys identified as Angrez Singh (17), Mehakdeep Singh (16) and Sukhjit Singh (5) were killed in a road accident when their motorcycle was reportedly hit by an unknown vehicle near Balachaur on the Nawanshahr-Chandigarh highway today.

Angrez and Sukhjit died on the spot while Mehakdeep received injuries and was brought to a private hospital where he breathed his last and succumbed to his injuries.
