Haryana Ki Dhoom from Nov 21: The Haryana Kala Parishad will organise a three-day competition, ‘Haryana Ki Dhoom-5’, on folk dances, art and raginis of Haryana at Yavnika Open Air Theatre, Sector 5, Panchkula from November 21. The parishad will also organise a cultural programme ‘Ek Sham Haryanavi Sanskriti Ke Naam’ in collaboration with the Dada Lakhmi Chand Kala Vikas Manch, Panipat, at the senior wing of SD Vidya Mandir School, Sector 12, Panipat, on November 17.

Order to get boilers registered: The Haryana Industries and Commerce Department has advised the boiler owners to get their boilers registered under the Boilers Act, 1923, before putting these into operation. A spokesman of the department said here on Thursday that only those boilers would be registered and certified that were manufactured as per the Indian Boilers Regulations, 1950. In the case of any accident, the boiler owners or users would be responsible andprosecuted under the the Boilers Act, 1923.

One killed in mishap: Karnail Singh of Chhota Tapra in Yamunanagar district was killed on the spot when he was hit by a vehicle near Thol village, 20 km from here, on Wednesday evening. The police has registered a case in this connection.

Rewari
Youth held for rape bid: Dinesh Kumar ( 17), a student of class XI, attempted to rape his sever-year-old neighbour, a student of class III, at Berli Khurd village, 17 km from Rewari, on October 29. The police booked Dinesh and arrested him after the victim’s father filed a complaint on Wednesday. Dinesh was today produced in the juvenile court here which sent him in 14-day judicial custody at the reformatory in Hisar.
