Exhibition postponed:
The state-level science exhibition to be held at Baba Farid Senior Secondary School, from November 5-8, has been postponed. It will now be held from November 30 to December 3.

Fatehabad
Clash over  property
: Five persons, including two women, were injured in a clash over property between families of two brothers at Goranwali in Sirsa on Sunday. Farsa Ram (45), his wife Munni Devi (40) and three sons, Santosh (18), Karan (17) and Ajay (15) have been admitted to the local General Hospital. Farsa Ram has alleged that they were working in their fields when his brothers attacked them.

Cleaning of roads
: Cleaning work of the main roads in the town will be done at night, said Randeep Singh Surjewala, PWD and Industries Minister. He said the Municipal Council had appointed 70 safai karamcharis by inviting tenders and the MC would have to pay Rs 3.70 lakh per month to the staff employed for the task.





Special Lok Adalat: As many as nine cases out of the total 18 were settled in a special Lok Adalat held on the jail premises here on Saturday. Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajeev Goyal presided over the function. An official said the Lok Adalat paved the way for the release of four convicts from the jail.

Man killed
: One person was killed while another was injured when a speeding car hit their motorcycle near Circuit House here on Saturday. Seriously injured Kartik Wadhwa, who was referred to the PGI, Chandigarh, succumbed to his injuries on the way, while Ram Wadhwa was admitted to a private hospital here. The police has registered a case in this connection.

Kidnapper held
: The police has not only arrested the alleged kidnapper of a girl from Thana Khurd village under Kharkhoda police station, but also restored the girl to her family members after her medical examination. Umesh of the same village was arrested from Zafarpur village in Delhi and the police also seized a revolver and live cartridges from his possession.

Body found: The Sadar police has recovered the body of an unidentified youth from the Delhi branch of the West Yamuna Canal near Rohat village on Sunday morning. According to post-mortem examination, his death had been caused due to strangulation. From the long hairs, the youth appeared to be belonging to the Sikh community and was wearing a black thread around his neck.

Youth ends life: Ajit (19), a resident of Kundli village, committed suicide on Saturday night after he was objected by his brother and uncle against consuming liquor. After post-mortem examination, his body was handed over to the family members.
