Common admission schedule for private schools finalised

Much to the respite of parents seeking admission for their children at entry-level classes in private schools in the city, the UT Education Department today finalised the common admission schedule for the next academic session. Schools which do not adhere to the schedule will be penalised.

Students' NASA trip gives parents jitters

The UT Administration has extended the tenure of UT Chief Architect Sumit
Kaur. Sumit Kaur, who had come to the UT on deputation from Punjab on October 1, 2008, was to retire on October 31. But sources revealed that as the Punjab Government had extended by one year the term of its employee after the retirement age of 58 years, Sumit Kaur will not retire on October 31 and will work in the UT Administration for six months more.
