Snag hits rail traffic

The rail traffic on the Amritsar-Ludhiana section was thrown out of gear for several hours since morning as engine of 12242 Amritsar-Chandigarh Superfast express developed a snag, and got stuck on the railway track between Jalandhar City and Jalandhar Cantt railway stations.

LPG consumers to fill KYC forms

LPG cylinder consumers who have more than one connection will have to submit "Know your Customer" form at their respective gas agencies by October 31. Harsimarjit Kaur, president of All LPG Distributors Federation, Punjab, made this announcement.

Civil Surgeon suspected of contracting dengue

Ludhiana district has witnessed as many as 122 confirmed cases of dengue this season. According to sources, Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana, Dr Subhash Batta has also been suffering from dengue for the last few days. Health officials, however, neither confirmed nor denied the report.
