Registration numbers of 1,482 dealers cancelled in 2011-12

The Excise and Taxation Department cancelled the registration numbers of as many as 1,482 dealers last year. Out of these, 299 registration numbers were cancelled in District I, 528 in District II and 665 in district III of Ludhiana.

Heavy Showers lash city

Heavy rain brought relief to residents this afternoon. No one expected a sudden change in the weather as it was a bright and sunny day, but by noon, dark clouds enveloped the city followed by dust storm and heavy rain.
