Militants threaten lake project workers: Suspected militants have threatened workers and engineers with dire consequences if they failed to abandon work at the construction site of the Wular Lake conservation project in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The site is located close to suspended Tulbul Navigation Lock Project and Wular Barrage which had featured in the Indo-Pak secretary-level talks last month.

Scouts and Guides camp held at Patnitop: The J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides (JKBSG) organised a three-day camp at the Youth Hostel in Patnitop. A total of 50 students, accompanied by five teachers, attended the camp under the guidance of Dr Gurcharan Singh Ghai. The aim of the camp was to equip children with skills to help them adjust in all kinds of circumstances, to inculcate a spirit of adventure and community-living and environmental awareness.

Double delight for Bhalwal Zone: The Bhalwal Zone clinched both the U-19 boys’ Kho-Kho and Kabaddi titles today in the ongoing District Level Inter-Zonal Tournament being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Government Higher Secondary School.
