Knee replacement course organised: A knee replacement course was organised by Amandeep Hospital which saw a team headed by Dr Alfred Tria, Director, Orthopaedics Fellowship Training, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey, US, and Dr Avtar Singh conduct live primary and revision knee replacement surgeries. Video of the surgeries were shown to the participating medicos. Dr Alfred said, “Oxinium knee is one of the best implants in the world that lasts for more than 30 years,” he said.

Foetus recovered: The police recovered a foetus from a gutter at Guriani village yesterday. Some villagers had spotted it and informed the police.

Killed for Rs 50: A man had to pay with his life for not paying Rs 50 to his colleague at Yamunanagar today. Two colleagues, Pawan and Neetu, had gambled in which Neetu lost Rs 50 to Pawan. There was a clash between the two over this issue. Pawan repeatedly stabbed Neetu with a knife to death.
