The mysterious death of 27-year-old Ruby Rai has turned out to be a killing by poisoning. Ruby, who was married to Rubish Rai nearly eight years ago and was residing near Jain Ka Theka on Daba Road, had died under suspicious circumstances on November 13, 2011.

Big eateries ignored in food sampling

The Health Department, which usually collects random samples of eatables, seems to be ignoring bigwigs of the city. In routine, the department collects samples of eatables from small eating joints and rarely goes for random checking of big hotels and restaurants.

Drug addict creates ruckus

A book of poetry written by Inderpal Singh Bagga titled "Shayad" was released at Punjabi Bhawan. Dr SS Johl former, Vice-Chancellor Punjabi University, Patiala, and national professor of eminence released the book.

SIT men awarded with posting of SHOs
