Teenager held for rape bid on 2 minors
Chandigarh, March 28
In a shocking incident, a teenager was arrested for attempting to rape two minors at his ‘jhuggi’ at the Bapu Dham Colony here today.
The police arrested 18-year-old Amit Bhatt, a drug addict, and booked him in a case of kidnapping and attempt-to-rape under Sections 363, 366, 376, 511 and 506 of the IPC.
Policeman lodges complaint against woman colleague

193 notices to violators

Tightening its noose around illegal mobile towers in the city, the UT Estate office has issued notices to 193 residential and commercial building owners for the violation of building bylaws. Recently, Deputy Commissioner Brijendra Singh in his report to UT Finance Secretary VK Singh had pointed out that more than 300 mobile towers in the city were illegal.
DLF brings smiles on fire staff’s faces

Tense situation prevailed in and around the DLF building at IT Park here this morning when the fire brigade vehicles blowing sirens rushed towards that building. Unaware of the mock fire drill of the municipal corporation, visitors and employees thought that a major fire has broken on the top floor of the building and the fire team was trying to reach the site to douse the fire.
