Mussoorie MC chief in spot again
Mussoorie, November 25 According to nominated ward member Anil Goyal, a delegation, including him and a few local BJP leaders, met Urban Development Principal Secretary Ranvir Singh in Dehradun today and apprised him about the whole matter. They alleged that the BJP-supported MC President OP Uniyal and several ward members advanced the board meeting date from November 15 to 14 without informing the ward members via a notice that should have been done according to the norms. Goyal said another anomaly that came to light was that although the meeting was held on November 14, in the proceedings book it had been mentioned that it was held on November 15. The MC officials when realised their folly the next day allegedly changed the text in the proceedings book accordingly, he alleged. Goyal has demanded a thorough investigation into the whole matter as the meeting was allegedly advanced by the authorities with a view to benefiting few individuals. He also submitted to the Urban Development Principal Secretary the agenda of the meeting that had passed proposals worth several lakhs. Ranvir Singh has assured him that a detailed investigation will be conducted into the matter soon. |

He was pressing for the federation’s demand for ad hoc appointments for the contractual employees. He said the police had forcibly admitted Dr Santosh Kumar Singh to the Coronation Hospital. Now, Dr Manikant Shah, Dr Srikrishan Nautiyal and Dr Bhupnarayan Dixit had started an indefinite fast at the very site from where Dr Santosh Kumar Singh was shifted forcibly. He asserted the contractual lecturers had now pledged to continue with their stir till their genuine demand was accepted by the state government. Dr Harsh Negi, general secretary of the federation, and Dipti Bagwari, treasurer, were also present. |
