Be it residential, industrial or the developmental works initiated by the government, the construction work is on at almost all the leading roads in the city. This has been causing lot of inconvenience to the general public, reason being the construction material scattered all over the main and the connecting roads. It becomes virtually impossible for commuters to pass through already congested roads with scattered construction material all-around.

Hospital to deploy female guards

After receiving two complaints of sexual harassment in the past five years, authorities of Dr BL Memorial Kapoor Hospital have decided to deploy female guards on the hospital premises during night duty. Dr Wahegurupal Singh, medical superintendent of the hospital, said this while talking to The Tribune.

Robbers’ gang busted, five held

The Ludhiana (rural) police has busted a gang of robbers with the arrest of five of its members. Two other members of the gang managed to escape under cover of darkness. The police has seized two .12-bore pistols along with a few cartridges and sharp-edged weapons from them.
