Though usually the speed of recovery in the first phase of the year, which incidentally is the last of the financial year, is very fast, the situation is entirely different this year as the officials seem to be going slow. Probably due to the assembly elections ahead the political leaders do not want to annoy the voters for which directions have been given to the officials to go slow for recovery.

Protest in support of mid-day meal staff

12-yr RI for drug trafficking

KS Kang, Additional Sessions Judge, has sentenced Sarabjit Singh, a resident of Rajouri Garden, New Delhi, in a drug trafficking case. He was also sentenced to undergo 12-year rigorous imprisonment and pay Rs 1.5 lakh as fine.
